Today on Sunday 18th April 2021 we chugged into Burton on Trent. A heron watched us go through one of the 6 locks today.

And ducklings scurried for cover at we came out of the lock.

We came into the town made by beer, where Hobgoblin and Marston’s Pedigree lorries were being loaded up alongside the canal.

We passed a building site on the edge of Branson where 2,500 houses are being built and passed a massive Amazon distribution complex.

And into Beer Town.

We found somewhere to moor at Horninglow right opposite the Canal & River Trust Services on the Kingfisher Trail.

Sadly the beer museum seem to be closed. Steve got the bike out and cycled down to ALDI to get essential supplies and we hunkered down for the night.

Wow so narrow.
