Rainy day yesterday. Darrol the engineer arrived early afternoon after mistakenly being sent to the Grand Union Canal in Leighton Buzzard instead of where we are in Warwick. He "cleaned" our Squirrel/Lockgate diesel burning stove and got it roaring.
He then tackled the engine. New jubilee clips put on the engine coolant circuit and alternator drive belt tightened (as it had been slipping and squealing). Coolant topped up. Fingers-crossed everything is tickety-boo in the engine department. Our diesel gauge is a high tech broom handle which we dip into the tank to determine the level.
Steve found a new dog walk circuit which took in the Riverside Walk alongside the river Avon and through Emscote Nature Conservation Area and back through the Tesco Extra car park to the boat.
In the evening we watched "Four in a Bed" on All4 on an iPad and later we watched live television using the invertor (12V to 240V AC) and "Celebrity Circle for Stand Up To Cancer".
OK. Well done to you two. Just caught up with your latest in a marathon read. Somehow I had forgotten keep up with your exploits as seemingly we are very busy here in our lockdown. Keep barging and watch out for those leaves in the Llangollen Canal.
Mule.
